Kerala Police Issue Look Out Notice for Absconding Murder Accused from Sullia
Kerala: The Kerala police have issued a lookout notice for a man who was involved in the murder of a 60-year-old woman and was absconding since 2018. The police have also announced a reward of Rs 2 Lakh for information about the accused.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Aziz (32), a resident of Ajjavara, Sullia Taluk.
According to the police, Abdul Azeez was involved in the murder of Zubaida from Ayambaru under the Bekal police station limits in 2018 and had fled with her gold ornaments. Later he was arrested and produced before the court in Sullia. When the police were taking him to Kasargod, on the way in Sullia, he escaped from them.
Since 2018, the police are unable to arrest him. The Kerala police have now issued a lookout notice to trace Abdul Aziz and have also announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for providing information about his whereabouts.
On January 19, 2018, 60-year-old Zubaida was murdered. The police arrested Abdul Khader from Madhur Kotekani, Bava Aziz from Padanna and Harshad along with Abdul Aziz. At the time Aziz was wanted in another case in Sullia and was brought to Sullia to be produced before the court. While the police were taking him back to Kasargod, on the way in Sullia Abdul Aziz succeeded in escaping from the police.
The Kerala police without being able to arrest him until now, have issued a lookout notice and announced Rs 2 Lakh reward for information about his whereabouts. Posters are also put up in the main places in Kerala and Karnataka.
