Kindergarten Section of Don Bosco English Medium School holds Annual Sports Meet
Udupi: The Annual Sports Meet of the Kindergarten section of Don Bosco English Medium School was held on Saturday February 4th 2017. The atmosphere of the school took a festive look. A large number of parents and guardians were present to enjoy the sports events.
The ceremony commenced at 9:30 a.m. in the school open ground. Vincent Machado – the Chief Guest, Fr Stany Tauro – the President, Wilson D’souza – Vice President of Parish Council, Fr. Mahesh D’souza – Principal were escorted by the school band. This was followed by an invocation song sung by the tiny tots.
The Principal welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest. The President Fr. Stany Tauro unfurled the sports flag and the Chief Guest Vincent Machado declared the Sports Meet Open and officiated the sports meet by releasing the balloons with the tiny tots. Later the Chief Guest Vincent Machado was honoured by the dignitaries for his charitable works.
The little children mesmerized the audience with their energetic march past. The trophies were awarded to the young ones for the best march past. Children competed class wise in events including 50 mtr race, rabbit race ball throw etc. The medals and certificates were awarded to the winners by their respective parents.
The school Principal Fr Mahesh D’Souza applauded the efforts of the teachers and the students for making the event a huge success. Irene Rodrigues delivered the vote of thanks and Shyona D’Almeida compered the program.
