KMC Hospital Attavar Holds Seminar on Quality ‘The Ladder for Success’

Mangaluru: The KMC Hospital Attavar organized a seminar on Quality under the theme, “The ladder for Success”, at TMA Pai International Convention Centre here on September 16.

The programme began with an invocation. Dr Santhosh welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by the CEO NABH Dr Harish Nadkarni by lighting the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries on the dais.

Addressing the gathering Dr Harish Nadkarni said, “We have many delegates here to take part in the seminar who are working hard for actual quality improvement and not just talk about it. It is a great pleasure to have such a gathering of speakers here and you will surely benefit from this seminar.”

Medical Superintendent of KMC Hospitals Dr Anand Venugopal speaking on the occasion said that the organizers have selected a good topic which will help to improve the quality in Healthcare. Mangaluru is famous for education Institutions and healthcare establishments.”

Quality means putting out the best product or service possible with honesty and trust. Quality has evolved from the traditional guilds to the current system of quality management systems. In healthcare, it could mean doing the right thing at the right time to the right patient with resistance to compromise. In spite of the immense benefits that quality brings in, it is perceived as challenging. The low-hanging fruits are easily plucked, but the best benefits of quality are only achieved by integrating it into the DNA of the organization and by ensuring that everyone owns quality. Thus to bring out the best results in quality we have organized the seminar on quality.
