Kollur Temple contributes One crore for Kerala and 25 lakhs for Kodagu flood relief

Kundapur: The Kollur Sri Mookambika Temple administration has contributed Rs one crore towards relief work in flood ravaged Kerala. They have also donated Rs 25 Lakhs to Kodagu.

The Temple administration committee on Saturday decided to contribute Rs 1 crore to the Kerala state relief fund and Rs 25 lakhs to Kodagu district flood relief work.

Recent reports say that nearly 500 persons have died owing to heavy rains and floods in Kerala .

Kollur Temple is situated about 38 km from Kundapur town. This village lies at the foot of the Western Ghats and is famous for the Mookambika temple, a Hindu pilgrim center. The temple of Mookambika and other shrines attract a large number of pilgrims from Kerala state too.
