Konkani Film Festival ‘Film Sobhann’ from August 23rd
Mangaluru: The Konkani Film Festival ‘Film Sobhann’ will take place from August 23rd to September 14th ¹. The festival will be held at Mangalore’s Bharath Cinemas. There will be two shows daily at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. 30 Konkani films will be screened during the 23-day festival. The festival will include 25 Feature Films, 5 Short Films, and special Screenings of 2 Feature Films for Children.
The festival will celebrate new and old movies of both young and veteran filmmakers from Karnataka and Goa. Movies from various communities like Hindu, Christian, GSB, RSB, etc. will be screened to make Konkani Cinema more inclusive. The Director and Producer(s) of each film will be honored during the shows.
A Symposium will be held at Kalaangann on September 1st, Morning, to discuss the Challenges and Possibilities in Konkani Cinema. Enthusiasts are welcome.
