Being in TV industry is constant struggle: Additi Gupta
Mumbai, July 22 (IANS) Actress Additi Gupta, currently seen on the show “Ishqbaaz”, says it is always a constant struggle to be in the television industry.
“Being in industry is a constant struggle…doing your best and learning everyday, getting the roles as per your wish. It’s a challenge. Every day, you need to work so hard,” she said in a statement.
“Mostly people think that for a 30 minutes show, we don’t need to shoot much. But we shoot for 12 hours with heavy clothes and make-up on. I wasn’t used to it initially, but with time I started understanding and then I started enjoying my struggle.”
“I realised that without struggles, I will not enjoy my achievements. Now, I don’t enjoy easy things in my life. I love things to be a bit challenging,” added the actress, who made her debut with “Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil”.
As an actress, she enjoys doing different roles.
“Experimenting something new is always fun. My debut role ‘Heer’ in ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil’ was too innocent. However, I enjoyed it,” she said.
She soon got pulled towards negative characters.
“I really wanted to do negative characters. So, then I got a chance to experiment in ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’. I played a lover who had a bit of grey shades. Later on, I took up completely a negative role in ‘Qubool Hai’,” she said.
Talking about “Ishqbaaz”, she said: “My character is actually crazy. But it’s fun doing it as you get to act knowing that you don’t relate to the character in real life.”
