Kukke Sri Subramanya Temple belongs to Math, does not come under Muzrai- Muthalik

Mangaluru: “Recently we have seen at the Kukke Sri Subramanya Temple that there is a difference between the Math and Temple. The Muzrai department is creating confusion among the people by propaganda that they don’t have any connection with the Math. The Temple was under the Math administration and not under the Muzrai department. I don’t know when the Temple was included under the Muzrai department. The commissioner of the Muzrai department has also clarified that they don’t have any documents. I request the concerned authorities to understand that the Temple belongs to the Math and government”, said the Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik in a press meet held at the Arya Samaj Mandir, Balmatta here on August 31.

Addressing the mediapersons Muthalik said, “There is no record in the Muzrai department of the Kukke Sri Subramanya Temple being under the Muzrai department. Kukke Sri Subramanya Temple does not come under the Muzrai department since it does not belong to the government. The Temple will remain under the Math. We are not against the Temple, for us both the Temple and Math are very important and they are two faces of the same coin. We need to retain the sanctity of the Kukke Sri Subramanya Temple”.

Some useless persons have created Kukke Subramanya Devasthana Bhaktara Hitarakshana Vedike and they used derogatory language to criticize the Swamiji. Without having any knowledge of the Hindu Peeta the so-called members of the Vedike are criticizing the Swamiji. They have used derogatory language and abused the Swamiji. A case has been filed against the Vedike members by the Malekudiya community. If there are any problems, the members of the Vedike should sit together with the Swamiji and solve them. Every year the Temple has a revenue of more than Rs 100 crore. This year the devotees have donated Rs 97 crore to the temple. People from all walks of life come to this Temple, so people should not play politics in this matter. Since there is a huge scam in the Temple issue we demand an ACB and Lokayukta investigation. “

Anand Shetty Adyar, Jeevan Neermarga, Harish Amtady and Harish Shetty Bokkapatna were also present.
