Kundapur AC serves notice to Navyug firm for delaying the NH 66 work

Kundapur: Kundapur AC Bhoobalan has issued a notice to Navyug Nirman Company for delaying the four-laning of the road work in Kundapur and Udupi.

The Kundapur sub-division court chaired by Kundapur Assistant Commissioner T Bhoobalan, in his order to the Chief Manager (Projects) of Navayuga Udupi Tollway Private Limited Padubidri, stated that it had been indicated through oral and written complaints that the Navayuga Company had started construction of the flyover near Sastari Circle, Kundapur Town and an underpass at the Karavali Bypass, Udupi Town six years ago and have not completed the work until now. The incomplete work is causing severe road blocks and traffic congestion, disturbing public tranquility and vehicle movement. Moreover, it has led to many accidents in the said locations affecting public safety.

Hence, exercising the powers conferred to the AC under Section 133 of CPC, 1973, Kundapur Assistant Commissioner T Bhoobalan has directed the Chief Manager to appear before the court of the Sub Division Magistrate in Kundapur on June 6 at 11 am. The company should complete the work immediately and stop collecting the toll at Sastan Toll Gate untill the completion of the above said work.

This Road works Contractor is certainly not a professional
work related company. Imagine 6 years an Underpass at
the Karavali Junction is being constructed and the former
CM did nothing to correct this type of major negligence.
