Kundapur Police Arrest Six Persons in Neralakatte Babu Shetty Murder Case
Kundapur: The Kundapur Rural Police under the leadership of Hariram Shanker ASP Kundapur on December 26 arrested six persons in connection with the murder case of Neralakatte Babu Shetty.
The arrested have been identified as Kenchanooru Ramesh Poojary (25), Praveen Poojary Anagalli (25), Sachin Poojary Basruru (21), Raghavendra Poojary Anagalli (24), Thejappa Shetty (68) and Udayraj Shetty (55).
According to the police on December 17 deceased Babu Shetty was riding his motorbike and was on his way to Kundapur from Jormakki when the above said accused chased and hacked him to death. Babu Shetty was eking out a living by driving a four-wheeler for rent and was also involved in money laundering activities.
Under the direction of Nisha James SP Udupi, the team led by Hariram Shanker ASP Kundapur, Kiran SI DCIB, D R Manjappa CPI Kundpur, Rajkumar PSI Kundapur Rural, Sridhar Naik SI Shankernarayana, Harish Naik PSI Kundapur and team arrested the accused.
