Kuwait: The countdown has begun for the fifteenth year anniversary celebrations of Kanajar Welfare Association [KWAK] that will be held on Friday, 13 February, 2015 at the American International School [AIS] Auditorium, Maidan Hawalli, at 4:30 p.m. sharp. The evening has been planned with melodious songs sung by “Golden Voice of Konkani” fame Rony D’Cunha alongside his wife Jasmine D’Cunha, the winner of ‘‘Gulf Voice of Mangalore 2014” Morvine Quadras and budding child singer Sarah Lobo. To entertain you further, many scintillating dances will be performed by our own KWAK kids, “Desi Strikers” popularly known for their theme dances, and “Dancing Angels” a group of talented dancers.
The highlight of the programme is a Konkani comedy dram “MAKA NANGI” written by well-known writer Pradeep Barboza, Paladka and directed by Edward D’Souza, Kanajar which will be staged by KWAK and other local artistes.
Fr Alexander Lewis-Parish Priest of Our Lady of Lourdes, Kanajar will be attending to grace this occasion.
After minimal expenses have been deducted, the complete proceedings of this programme will be donated to “Snehalaya Psycho Social Rehabilitation Centre” and a fixed amount is to be donated as charity to “Manasa Rehabilitation Centre” in Pamboor.
