Kuwait: Harish Bhandary Elected President of Tulu Koota

Kuwait: The new managing committee members of Tulu Koota Kuwait 2016 were unanimously elected with Harish Bhandary as the president of the association.

The programme began with an invocation. The members of the managing and the advisory committees inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. General secretary Wilson D’Souza read out the annual report and treasurer Vijaya Kairangala presented the accounts statement. Outgoing president Tharendra Shettigar thanked all the members for their support during his tenure.

The Managing Committee of 2016 while introducing themselves thanked everyone for electing them and assured of giving the best of services during their tenure. The newly elected president Harish Bhandary, in his speech thanked all the committee members for electing him and expressed the team’s intention to make more provisions for the members of the association in the upcoming year.

The cultural programme that followed thereafter, hosted by Purander Manchi, was an amalgamation of dance, music and drama. Children and adults danced on various songs and offered soulful display of their voice along with rib tickling comedy skits. The cultural programme concluded with the entry of Santa joyously distributing sweets to kids and cutting the cake.

The event came to an end with a vote of thanks delivered by joint secretary, Madhav Naik.
