Labourer Buried in Mud during UGD work at Karavali Bypass Road
Udupi: A labourer died after he was accidently buried in mud while working at the underground drainage site near Karavali Bypass here on Friday, January 13.
The deceased has been identified as Beer Bahadur (35) a native of Bihar.
According to the police, he was involved in the underground drainage work of the National Highway near Adi Udupi – Karavali Bypass Road. The earth suddenly collapsed on the worker burying him. Immediately other labourers rushed for help and also called the Fire and Emergency personnel. By the time he was pulled out, and before the Fire and Emergency service personnel reached the spot he had breathed his last.
The body has been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem.
