Ladies Learn Self Defence Art from Japanese Martial Arts Expert
Mangaluru: Mangalore Ladies circle 82 in association with Ground Sports Fitness-Mangaluru conducted a free one day workshop on “SELF DEFENCE” for women. The workshop was conducted by Sensei Vinayak, 2nd Dan black belt Japan. He’s also an expert in Japanese Martial arts like Judo and Aikido. Around 60 women in and around Mangaluru took part in this workshop. This consisted of an interactive practical session where some of the self-defence techniques were taught and the basic concepts of self-defence were explained theoretically. Post workout there was a session of question and answer where the girls asked few questions on handling the attackers in different situations, and all the queries were sorted by the expert. Women are often seen as vulnerable and easy targets by the attackers and are less likely to fight back, this is why they are at risk.
It’s important for every woman to know and learn the art of self-defence. This not only involves learning the effective technique to handle the dangerous situation but also to perform the right technique. Physical fitness and strength are the core components of the self-defence. Health and fitness go hand in hand. Its important for every woman to consider fitness seriously into their daily routine and make women hood more beautiful and strong.
