Land Dispute turns Violent in Shirva, counter Complaints Filed
Udupi: A land dispute turned violent in Shirva, as a couple and their neighbor involved in a verbal spat allegedly assaulted each another, in this regard complaints and counter complaints have been filed in the Shirva Police Station.
Alphonse Fernandes resident of Halehithlu Shirva is undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Ajjarkad. Alphonse Fernandes in his version of the complaint says that he had entered his plot in Halehithlu when the couple Linda Fernandes and Praveen Coutinho allegedly assaulted him. They again assaulted him when he was undergoing treatment at the Community Health Centre, Shirva in front of the staff before fleeing from the spot. The latter was then admitted to Ajjarkad District Hospital.
Linda Fernandes in her complaint has stated that Alphonse Fernandes had illegally entered her land and while questioned about his presence in their land, he had assaulted Linda using a fiber pipe. Linda’s mother-in-law Apolline Fernandes was also assaulted. The duo were then treated at the Shirva Community Health Centre as outpatients.
