Leopard Rescued after Falling into Well while Chasing Dog
Kundpaur: A leopard, which strayed from the forest into the village and fell into a well at Hunsemakki, Kundapur on August 10, was rescued by the forest officials.
The leopard had accidentally fallen into the open well belonging to Latha Kulalthi.
According to the family members, the Leopard fell into the well while chasing a dog. At midnight Latha Kulalthi’s family members heard a loud sound coming from the well. When the family checked into the well, they noticed a Leopard and dog in it and immediately informed the forest department officials. The family members rescued the Dog by pulling it up using a basket.
The rescue operation for the leopard began in the morning. The forest officials lowered a cage with some food, and the leopard entered the cage. More than 200 people that had gathered to witness the rescue operation. The leopard was later released into the forest.
