Let BJP wait for CBI Report before Demanding Resignation of George in Ganapati Suicide case – Ivan
Mangaluru:“The National Highway is in a bad condition especially the Gurupur Bridge. We have protested against the pathetic condition of Gurpur bridge but the elected Parliament member has not shown any interest to make it motorable. Recently the MP said that the NITK authorities will check the intensity of traffic on the Gurpur bridge but according to me the Gurpur bridge is not fit for vehicular movement. From Nanthur to Beluvai the road is in a pathetic condition. When we ask the DC, he says that the NHAI will do the work whereas the NHAI officers say that they did not get any information about the road alignment and no instructions to start the work. The MP should intervene and start the work of the NH as soon as possible”, said Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza in a press meet held at his office, Lalbagh here on October 28.
Addressing the mediapersons Ivan said, “On October 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Dakshina Kannada, if I will be given an opportunity to meet him, I will surely submit a memorandum to carry out the NH work which is pending from a long time. When I spoke to the ADC, he said that there are 4 litigations which we are trying to clear. The MP has the right to review the National Highways. I request the MP to start the NH road work and complete it in a month and make it motorable. If the MP fails to carry out the work we will close the National Highway.”
Ivan further said, “The Assembly elections are nearing and will be held in May 2018. The BJP is holding protests and demanding the resignation of Minister George. During the COD investigation, George was the Home Minister and he had resigned. The COD reports revealed that George was not responsible for DySP Ganapati’s suicide. George was later given the ministers post. Ganapati’s family later approached the Supreme court. When anyone approaches the supreme court, the SC directs the CBI to investigate and according to the SC order, the police initiated an inquiry. Let the BJP wait till the investigation completes if George is found guilty let them demand for his resignation. Before the investigations are completed, why is the BJP is demanding George’s resignation?”
Ivan also said, “Even though the CBI is investigating the case, the BJP does not have trust in the Parliament procedures nor the law. If we talk about GST and GDP, BJP is terming us as anti-nationals. BJP has failed in all areas and is demanding the resignation of the Congress minister. There is no need of George to resign from his post. It is a primary procedure in any case when a complainant is filed against a person, the police will file an FIR. Let the BJP wait for the investigation to complete in DySP’s suicide case.”
GANAPATHI HE CHOSEN HIS WAY BEING A EDUCATED OFFICER !! AND IT SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED HIS WRITTEN NOTE AS ITS A TESTAMENT !!
Congress and its minority ‘vote bank’ politics have no lower limits. Ivan D’Zouza is complaining about NH. I agree that there are issues with NH road work. However, I have never seen this guy and MLA Lobo trying to address the broken city infrastructure. Never showed up for one of those ‘swachcha mangaluru’ campaign events. Pure hypocrites.
