Let Jain Contest From Moodbidri Instead of Challenging Muktanand Swamiji – Umanath Kotian
Mangaluru: “On March 10, Shaneeshwara Puja was held at the Moodbidri and the Swamiji of Shree Kshethra Karinje, Muktananda said that he wanted people to follow Lord Rama’s ideals and not Ravan’s. But the MLA of Moodbidri Abhaychandra Jain in a press meet held at Moodbidri addressed the Swamiji in harsh words and said that the Swamiji has encroached the government land and he is comparing CM Siddaramaiah and myself to Ravan. Jain also challenged the Swamiji to contest the elections against him and win in Moodbirdri. Being a voter in Moodibidri, I challenge the MLA to contest the forthcoming elections and win. In the forthcoming elections we will show him how badly he will be defeated”, said the General Secretary of BJP Umanath Kotian in a press meet held at the BJP office here on March 14.
Addressing the mediapersons Umanath Kotian said, “We were all present for the Shaneeshwara Puja, but I had left before the cultural programme began. But during the speech, Muktanand Swamiji had said that we want Ramarajya and all the members of the Hindu organizations should work for the welfare of the Hindu society. Swamiji had also advised on how to work unitedly for the welfare of the Hindu society and said that he does not want any Ravana Rajya in the state. But the MLA of Moodbidri Abhaychandra Jain insulted the Swamiji in the press meet using harsh words. During the speech, the Swamiji had not mentioned anyone by name had spoken in general. It is surprising as to why Abhaychandra Jain was upset or angry with the Swamiji? “
Umanath Kotian further said, “Abhaychandra Jain alleges that the Temple land was encroached by the Swamiji, while in fact, the land was purchased from a Catholic family by the Swamiji. We have all the documents and the Temple authorities have paid for the land. MLA Abhyachandra Jain is challenging the Swamiji to contest the elections but he (MLA) is running away from contesting the elections saying that he wants to give chance to others. If he has the courage let him contest the elections from Moodbidri. We will give him a befitting reply in the coming elections.”
Umanath Kotian also said, “MLA Abhaychandra Jain has insulted the Swamiji but it is an insult to the Hindu Society. If Abhaychandra will not apologise to the Swamiji, we the members of BJP along with the Sangh Parivar will stage a massive protest. We will not mix politics with religion. Already the Sangh Parivar has planned to hold a protest on March 19 and BJP will join hands with them.”
