Let State MPs raise Voice against Implementation of Kasturi Rangan Report – Ivan
Mangaluru: “The Union government has issued a notification for the implementation of the Kasturi Rangan report but the State government has filed an objection. Let the MPs of the state raise their voice against the implementation of the Kasturi Rangan report”, said the Chief Whip, Ivan D’Souza in a press meet held at his chamber here on March 8.
Ivan further said, “If the Union government will implement the Kasturi Ranga report, many people in the state will face severe problems. In this connection, the state government has submitted its objection to the Union government requesting it not to implement the Kasturi Rangan report. The Union government has thrice notified the State governments on the Kasturi Rangan report since there was an objection from states like Goa, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Kerala, Maharastra, and Karnataka. But the Union government has accepted the objection only from Kerala state government and ignored objections from the Karnataka state government.”
Ivan further pointed out, “The state MPs like Nalin Kumar, Shobha Karandlaje, and other BJP MPs did not bother to attend the meeting to express their dissatisfaction for the Kasturi Rangan report. The representatives who are representing the Union government have maintained silence and put the people in trouble. Let the MP Nalin Kumar Kateel take a delegation to Delhi to meet the prime minister and stop the Union government from implementing the Kasturi Rangan report in Karnataka”.
