Life Threat to Auto Driver at Kuthar, Accused Arrested
Mangaluru: 21-year-old youth has been arrested in connection with an assault on an auto driver at Kuthar auto park here on August 6.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Kabir Taslim Alias Tacchi (21) from Kuthar.
According to the police, there was a misunderstanding about the auto fare between Ajit and Mohammed Ali. When his relative Mohammed Kabir came to know about it, Ali along with Kabir decided to assault Ajith. They both threatened Ajith’s life and assaulted him. When Ajit tried to flee from the spot, they threatened him saying, “If you dare to complain against Kabir, we will kill you, if we see you here again”. In this connection, a case was filed in the Ullal police station.
Based on the complaint the ACP of Anti-rowdy squad, Ram Rao and team succeeded in arresting the accused.
Mohammed Kabir is involved in attempt to murder, theft and dacoity cases and 4 cases have been registered against him in the Ullal police station.
Under the direction of Police commissioner T R Suresh and under the guidance of DCP Law and order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Uma Prashanth the operation was carried out by the ACP of Anti-rowdy squad Ram Rao, Ullal police Inspector Gopikrishna and team.
