Life Threat to DC Sindhu, Youth from Bajpe Arrested
Mangaluru: A youth has been arrested on July 29 for giving life threat to the Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh on social media.
On July 27, DC Sindhu Rupesh had warned that if anyone takes the law in their hands and assaults anyone transporting animals, strict action would be taken against them.
On one of the WhatsApp group named “Ram Sena”, a person from mobile number +91 9632188546 had directly given a life threat to DC Sindhu in Tulu.
Another message in Tulu said, “Namma Hindutvag aad namma devereg aad yela dakke kanapuna bele manthunda yan jeeva deperela ready jeeva korela ready anna” (If anyone talks about Hindutva or our God we are ready to take their life).
The public demanded the arrest of the accused who had given a direct threat to the life DC Sindu on social media. The Moodbidri police filed a Suo Moto case and on July 29, arrested the accused Ranjith from Bajpe.
Further investigation is on in this regard.
