New Delhi: The Tuesday List of Business in Rajya Sabha includes the National Capital
Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised
Colonies) Bill, 2019 and the tabling of reports by some important committees and ministeries.
Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will move the Bill to provide special provisions for the National Capital Territory of Delhi for recognising the property rights of residents in unauthorised colonies.
The Bill will secure the rights of ownership or transfer or mortgage in favour of the residents of such colonies who are possessing properties on the basis of Power of Attorney, Agreement to Sale, Will, possession letter or any other documents including documents evidencing payment.
The Bill, which has been passed by the Lok Sabha, is for consideration and passage in the Upper House.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will move the Special Protection Group (Amendment), 2019 Bill seeking amendment to the Special Protection Group Act, 1988 for consideration and passage. The bill has been passed by the Lok Sabha.
Amit Shah will also move Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu (Merger of Union Territories)Bill, 2019 to provide for merger of the Union Territories of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The bill has been passed by the Lok Sabha.
Reports of the department related parliamentary Standing COmmittee on agriculture by Kailash Soni and Ram Nath Thakur will be tabled. These reports include: First Report on “The National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Bill, 2019” of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries; Second Report on the action taken by the Government on the Observations/Recommendations contained in the 64th Report on the Subject “ICAR-National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal — A Performance Review” of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agricultural Research and Education).
Third Report is on the ‘Demands for Grants (2019-20)’ of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (Department of Agricultural Research and Education); and the Fourth Report is on the ‘Demands for Grants (2019-20)’ of the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying).
A report of the department related to the parliamentary standing committee on Railways by Saroj Pandey and Manoj Kumar Jha will be tabled. The first report of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Railways (2019-20) (Seventeenth Lok Sabha) on action taken by the Government on the Recommendations/Observations contained in their 23rd Report (Sixteenth Lok Sabha) on “Maintenance of Bridges in Indian Railways: A Review”
Union MInister Prahlad Singh Patel will make a statement regarding the status of the implementation of recommendations contained in the 264th Report of the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture on the Action Taken by the Government on the observations/recommendations contained in the Two Hundred and Fifty-eighth Report of the Committee on Demands for Grants (2018-19) pertaining to the Ministry of Culture.
Ministers to lay papers on the Table include Harsh Vardhan for Ministry of Science and Technology, Shripad Yesso Naik for Ministry of Ayush, Prahalad Singh Patel for Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Culture, Raj Kumar Singh for Ministry of Power and Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Ashwani Kumar Choubey for Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Anurag Singh Thakur for Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
