New Delhi,:  The Rajya Sabha is expected to be adjourned sine die at the conclusion of its winter session on Friday. On the last working day in this session, the House will see the tabling of papers by 17 ministers, CAG report on Defence and Customs, reports by some parliamentary standing committees and six private members’ business resolutions.

Minister of State for Finance Anurag Singh Thakur to lay on the Table report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year ended March 2018 — Union Government (Defence Services)-Army (Compliance Audit), and a CAG Report for the year ended March 2018 — Union Government (Department of Revenue-Customs).

Upper House members Ashok Bajpaia and Lieutenant General (retired) D. P. Vats to table report of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence regarding among others on the demands for Grants for the year 2019-20 of the Ministry of Defence on General Defence Budget, Border Roads Organisation, Indian Coast Guard, Military Engineer Services, Directorate General Defence Estates, Defence Public Sector Undertakings, Canteen Stores Department, Welfare of Ex-Servicemen, Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Defence Pensions and Sainik Schools; etc.

Second Report of the Standing Committee on Welfare of Other Backward Classes on ‘Measures undertaken to secure representation of OBCs in admissions and employment in Kendriya Vidyalayas/Navodaya Vidyalayas and Sainik Schools/Rashtriya Military Schools’ pertaining to the Ministry of Human Resource will be tabled.

Statements will be made by Union Minister Som Prakash regarding the status of implementation of recommendations/observations contained on the ‘Impact of Chinese Goods on Indian Industry’ pertaining to the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Union Minsiter Shripad Yesso Naik will make statements regarding: “The status of implementation of recommendations of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence on ‘Ordnance Factories, Defence Research and Development Organisation, Directorate General of Quality Assurance and National Cadet Corps;

“Status of implementation of recommendations contained of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence on ‘Provision of all weather road connectivity under Border Road Organisation (BRO) and other agencies upto International borders as well as the strategic areas including approach road -An Appraisal’.”
