Local BJP Leader Assaults Toll Plaza Security Guard in Sastan
Udupi: An local BJP leader of Sasthan and his team allegedly assaulted the security guard of the National Highway toll plaza in Sasthan here on Sunday, February 11.
The injured toll plaza security guard Abdul Rehman has filed a complaint at the Kota police station and has been admitted in the Government hospital Ajjarkad, Udupi.
According to the complaint on Sunday evening the Local BJP leader Vittal Poojary and his team tried to pass through the VVIP gate and the security guard Abdul Rehaman objected to it. There was a verbal argument between them after which Vittal Poojary physically assaulted the security guard. The assault was recorded in the toll plaza’s CCTV camera.
Abdul Rehman is a resident of Kolnad, Mulki and has been working as a security guard since one year. Seriously injured Rehman has been admitted to the Government Hospital Ajjarkad.
The Kota Police have registered a case and investigation is on.
