Lockdown Effect: Youth Held while Trying to take Friend Home in Large Suitcase
Mangaluru: In a Bizarre incident a 17-year-old used a large trolley suitcase to take his friend back home to his apartment from Balmatta on April 12.
According to the police, the 17-year-old who has rented a flat in Orchid Apartments, Balmatta had requested the apartment committee to allow him to bring his friend to his flat on April 11, as he was feeling bored. But the committee refused because of the lockdown. Later the 17-year-old somehow managed and brought his friend to his flat.
On April 12, his friend wanted to go back to his apartment in Pandeshwar but was afraid of being caught. They then planned to use a large trolley suitcase to exit the building. When the boy was taking the suitcase out, the security guard placed at the gate got suspicious and alerted the apartment committee members and the police.
The police arrived at the spot and cleared the situation.
In this regard a case Cr. No 28/2020 is registered in the East Police station. The juveniles will be produced before the Juvenile Justice board.
