Lokayukta Justice Vishwanath Inaugurates Public Hearing and Judgement
Mangaluru: The Lokayukta public hearing and judgement programme was inaugurated at the Town Hall here on November 17.
The programme was inaugurated by Lokayukta Justice P Vishwanath Shetty by lighting the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries on the dais.
Addressing the gathering Justice P Vishwanath Shetty said, “The main aim of this programme is to solve the problems faced by the people. We are trying to hear the legal problems and find a solution. Officers should not delay to act when they receive complaints from the public. If any officers neglect public grievances and delay in giving justice, action will be taken against such officers”.
Lokayukta SP Rashmi, Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil, Police Commissioner T R Suresh, SP Sudheer Reddy, ZP CEO Dr M R Ravi, ADC Kumar and others were also present.
110 cases were received during the Lokayukta public hearing and judgement of which 32 cases were heard and 16 old cases settled.
