Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Vivek Alva, Managing Trustee, Alva’s Education Foundation said, “The educational conglomerate with multi-faceted vision in cultural and social domains, Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri is all set to host the decennial edition of the mega placement drive, Alva’s Pragati 2018 on 6th (for initial selections) and 7th of July (for final rounds of selections) at Vidyagiri Campus, Moodbidri. The Main objective of this Job fair is to facilitate job opportunities throughout India, especially rural and underprivileged parts of the country”.
He further said, “The Foundation, which has been successfully conducting Alva’s Pragati for the last nine years, is geared up for the decennial edition this time. Alva’s Pragati 2018 expects a participation of 200 companies this year and around 15000-20000 aspirants are expected to participate within the state and adjoining states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana etc. In 2017, 208 companies and 16000 students had participated and 1058 spot offers were made. 2918 students were shortlisted for various profiles in prestigious companies.
