Loving cows more than humans is bigger threat to Muslims in India – Mohammed Yaseen

Udupi: “In secular India people loving cows more than humans has became a threat to the Muslim community. Today the ruling government of a particular national party is trying to tarnish the image of the Muslim community by labelling them as terrorists”, alleged Mohammed Yaseen president of the Udupi district Muslim Okkuta.

He was delivering the key note address during the Unity Conference on the theme “Empower the community to strengthen the Nation’ organized by Udupi district Muslim Okkuta at the Mahatma Gandhi Grounds Beedinagudde Udupi on Sunday, March 4.

Addressing the gathering Mohammed Yaseen said, “Today the ruling party in the center is giving importance to cows over human beings. Snatching the land of the poor and donating it to Adani, Ambani, Neerav Modi and other corporates. The government is helping the rich and not the poor”.

Yaseen further said, “The Muslim community has played a prominent role in nation building but some people are projecting Muslims negatively. Today those whose hands are dipped in blood are questioning the nationalism and loyalty of the Muslims? India is a country not meant for one religion or community. Everyone have laid down their lives for the nation but those who have not played any role in the freedom fight are running the country”.

Yaseen also said, “Politicians are dividing the people on the basis of caste and religion and converting the anger of jobless youth into hatred among communities. They are trying to build the nation on the pillars of hate and division. The Muslim community and the associations are playing a prominent role in the development of the society. The fascist elements are labelling these Muslim associations as Terrorists. Already a particular party trying to ban an active Muslim association in the country is condemnable”.

“Muslims are intellectually strong and skilled and have made a remarkable contribution to the development of the country. The minority community, therefore, should be empowered. The Muslims should be empowered politically, educationally and economically in the country. We should eradicate hate and bring unity and brotherhood”, Yaseen stressed.
