LPG Tanker Rolls Over at Maroli, Road Closed
Mangaluru: An LPG Tanker rolled over at Kembar, Maroli here on January 19.
According to sources, since there was gas leakage from the tanker and the police have closed the Padil – Maroli Highway for traffic.
Fire engines were present at the spot to take care of any untoward incident. The road was closed for traffic movement and the area was cordoned off for safety reasons.
The fire brigade officer on the spot speaking to mangalorean.com said, “We have taken all the measures to avoid any untoward incident. Already two empty tankers have arrived at the spot and the transferring of gas to the other tanker has begun. It will take at least 8 hours for all the gas to be transferred to other tankers. Two fire brigades have also been stationed at the spot. Electricity has been cut off in the area and vehicular movement restricted”.
