Lucky Escape for Passengers as Bus Climbs Side wall of Kuloor Bridge
Mangaluru: A major tragedy was averted as a bus climbed over the side wall of the Kuloor Bridge here on January 15.
According to sources on January 15, bus, route number 59 was plying from Suratkal to Mangaluru. At Kuloor bridge the bus while trying to overtake another vehicle, lost control and climbed the side wall of the bridge.
The impact was such the side wall partially collapsed and fortunately stopped at the right time averting a major tragedy.
The passengers of the bus luckily escaped with minor injuries. The police and the fire service personnel reached the spot and pulled the bus from the spot. Traffic was disrupted for some time.
