Los Angeles, April 22 (IANS) Actor Idris Elba, who plays John Luther in “Luther”, says the crime drama series has got a “lot of bad luck” for a murder detective.
“There’s a story line that’s very challenging for him, very taxing. You know, he’s got a lot of bad luck for a murder detective. He gets himself into it,” Elba said in a statement.
Speaking about the fourth season, which only had two episodes, Elba said: “But I definitely feel that these two episodes of the season are at par with the rest of the episodes that we’ve seen to date. But this one particularly challenges him (Luther) in a certain way.”
Talking about Luther’s relationship with Emma (Rose Leslie), Elba said: “They hit it off pretty well, except, you know, Luther has to reign her ambition in a little bit.
“I think Luther doesn’t mind the company from Shaw but doesn’t want to influence her too much, which he ends up doing. Luther has that, you know, if you work with Luther he’s toxic, you know? How he works will seep through you. I think he likes her very much. I think he does get on with her”.
“Luther” is aired on FX in India.
Adam Sandler shares PDA with wife
Los Angeles, April 22 (IANS) Actor Adam Sandler expressed love for his wife Jackie in public as they enjoyed a breakfast date in California. The actor gave his wife a bear hug and a kiss.
Sandler played the doting husband as he cuddled up to Jackie. The pair were spotted following a breakfast date here and could barely keep their hands off each other, reports mirror.co.uk.
They wrapped their arms around each other as they stood in a car park after enjoying a bite to eat.
Sandler was dressed down for his early trip out, wearing a casual white T-shirt and baggy shorts.
Jackie, a former model, stepped out in a pair of skinny jeans, flat shoes and a camisole top.
The pair got married in 2003 after meeting on the set of his film “Big Daddy”, in which she played a waitress. They have two daughters.
Iggy Azalea investigates ancestry
Los Angeles, April 22 (IANS) Rapper Iggy Azalea has been investigating her ancestry.
Azalea took to Twitter to reveal she had received the results from her DNA analysis and has discovered her “ancestry is a mix of Scandinavian, Asian”, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“I got my DNA analysis back and they told me I like salty snacks more than sweets. It’s actually true. They also told me my ancestry is a mix of Scandinavian, Asian and ‘awesomeadian’,” Azalea tweeted.
The 25-year-old, who hails from Australia, previously revealed she is working hard on her relationship with basketball player Nick Young after he reportedly cheated on her.
“I’m still figuring it all out. It’s still fresh. It’s just something we’ll have to figure out later when I actually come home and have time to talk about it. I don’t think it’s something you can really figure out when you’re halfway across the country, just crazy busy,” she said.
