Magic for Cleanliness Concludes with 100th Show
Mangaluru: On the occasion of completion of 100 shows of Magic for cleanliness, concluding programme was held at Sharada Vidyalaya in Kodialbail on 1st September 2018 at 10.30 am. World Renowned Magician Sri Kudroli Ganesh & team had successfully & consistently conducted 99 magic shows for the last 3 months in as many schools under the auspices of Ramakrishna Mission to educate the students through entertainment.
Swami Jitakamanandaji, Adyaksha of Ramakrishna Math, Mangaluru graced the occasion. Prof. M B Puranik was the Chief Guest. Dr M R Ravi, CEO of Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat was the Special Invitee. Sri Kudroli Ganesh was honoured and rewarded on this occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Sri Kudroli Ganesh said, “If artistic skills of an artist are utilised for service of the society he feels fulfilment & satisfied. Under the auspices of Ramakrishna Mission Swacchata Abhiyan, we have strived our best to instil in the young minds respect for nature and its preservation their responsibility in Swacchata Abhiyan. We have conducted 100 shows without any break in the last 3 months and have travelled around 4500 km reaching out to nearly 75000 students. Each participating student has taken the Swacchata Oath”.
Prof M B Puranik said, “Government’s initiative of Swacchata Abhiyan became a mass movement in Mangalore thanks to the efforts of Ramakrishna Mission Swacch Mangaluru Abhiyan. Through this Abhiyan, Ramakrishna Mission has shown what a spiritual & religious institution can do and how it can contribute towards wellness of the society. Its efforts to use magic as an apt instrument to reach out to young minds and educate them in cleanliness & their responsibilities is appreciable. This movement will be successful if all join their hands.”
Delivering his benedictory address, Swami Jitakamanandaji said, “Only if today’s children are rightly trained as to their responsibilities in maintaining their surroundings clean can we achieve our target of Swacch Bharath in a few years. It may require a generation’s time to realise this dream. Hence a start has been made by our Ashrama in this regard. Winning over the hearts of students through magic and instilling in them values contributing towards cleanliness was achieved through these shows. It was a challenge to organise 100 such shows in different institutions continuously. We congratulate & thank Sri Kudroli Ganesh & his team for their efforts & MRPL for their valuable sponsorship”.
Stage programme was preceded by few magic tricks for entertainment & followed by the 100th magic show by Kudroli Ganesh & his team. Sunitha Madi, Manjula, Umanath Kotekar and others were present on the occasion. Swami Ekagamyanandaji welcomed the gathering and delivered the keynote address. Ranjan Bellarpady delivered the vote of thanks. Dayanand Kateel compered the programme. MRPL sponsored all the hundred shows of magic for Cleanliness.
