Magic of Gratitude

Meaning of Gratitude is, thanking and showing our gratefulness to God or to people who are in our lives. God has created us in his own image and he has given us many things and many people in our life and more than anything he has given us our life itself. So, he really deserves our gratefulness for all good and bad taking place in our lives.

The following passage comes from the Gospel of Matthew in the Holy Scriptures, and it has mystified, confused, and been misunderstood by many people over the centuries.

“Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him”. This passage has always been confusing me too whenever I read it and has created so much doubt in my mind about God. Every time I heard it, I have questioned myself that why God is giving more to those who have more and will take back from those who don’t have any. Recently I read one book called “The Magic” written by “Rhonda Byrne” it gave a clear explanation of the above Verse. And Finally, I learnt that there is a hidden word in this passage and that is ”Gratitude.”

Today I am so happy to share this good news with everyone so all can practice Gratitude in daily life and can experience life-changing miracles. “Whoever has Gratitude will be given more, and he or she will have an abundance. Whoever does not have Gratitude, even what he or she has will be taken from him or her.” This is the magic of Gratitude. If we are not Grateful for what we have, we will never have more things in life and we will lose what we already have. Two thousand years have passed since those words were recorded, but they are as true as today as they ever were. If we don’t take the time to be grateful we will never have more, and what we have, we will lose. It doesn’t matter what religion we follow, or whether we are religious or not, these words from the Holy scriptures apply to our life. They are describing a fundamental law of science and of the Universe.

Gratitude operates through a Universal law that governs our whole life. According to the law of attraction, which governs all the energy in our Universe, from the formation of an atom to the movement of the planets, “like attracts like”. It’s because of the law of attraction that the cells of every living creature are held together, as well as the substance of every material object. In our life, the law operates on our thoughts and feelings, because they are energy too, and so whatever we think, whatever we feel, we attract to us.

No matter who we are, no matter where we are, no matter what our current circumstances, the magic of gratitude will change our life! Gratitude can magically turn our relationships into joyful and meaningful relationships, no matter what state they are in now. Gratitude can miraculously make us more prosperous so that we have the money we need to do the things we want to do. It will increase our health and bring a level of happiness beyond what we have ever felt before. Gratitude will work it’s magic to accelerate our career, increase success, and bring about our dream job or whatever it is we want to do. The magical power of gratitude turns our life into gold!

As we practice gratitude, we will understand why particular things in our life may have gone wrong, and why certain things might be missing from our life. As we make gratitude a way of life, we will wake up each morning so excited to be alive. We will find ourselves completely in love with life. Everything will seem effortless. We will feel as light as a feather and happier than we have ever felt before. While challenges may come, we will know how to overcome them and learn from them. Every day will be magical, every day will be filled with far more magic than when we were a child.

We can tell right now how much we have actually used gratitude in our life. Just take a look at all of the major areas in our life: money, health, happiness, career, home, and relationships. Those areas of our life that are abundant and wonderful are where we have used gratitude and are experiencing the magic as a result. Any areas that are not abundant and wonderful are due to a lack of gratitude. It’s a simple fact: when we are not grateful we can not receive more in return. We have stopped the magic from continuing in our life.

When we are not grateful, we stop the flow of better health, better relationships, more joy, more money, and the advancement of our job, career or business. To receive, we have to give. It’s the law. Gratitude is giving thanks, and without it, we cut ourselves off from the magic and from receiving everything we want in life. The bottom line of ungratefulness is that when we are not grateful, we are taking life and things for granted. When we take things for granted we are unintentionally taking things from ourselves.

Most certainly we have been grateful at various times in our life but to see the magic and cause a radical change in our current circumstances, we have to practice gratitude and make it our new way of life. Gratitude changes negative and bad situations into good because it connects us with the divine power and that leads us in the right direction and we will start feeling less stressed and more relaxed. Gratitude changes problems into miracles and takes us deeper into faith and the faith fills all the empty spots in our life and makes our life whole.

We have to remember our life on earth is very precious because it is the only place where spiritual practice can be done to attain the ultimate purpose of life. So we should be always connected with the divine power in preparation of our life hereafter. The magic of Gratitude takes us more and more closer to God and our faith grows deeper and stronger and we lead a Happy and Spiritual life.

Life is always a challenge, good and bad both goes together like the Piano Keys. White keys are happy moments and black keys are sad moments. But both the keys are played together to give sweet music. So, good as well as bad always follows one another in our journey called life and makes life interesting.

We need to thank him also for all people we meet in this journey of life. All the people who contribute to our lives and becoming a part of our life. Everyone may not do good, some give us happy moments and some may challenge us. But for sure we learn something from everyone and we meet everyone for a purpose. Whether they do good or bad to us, their memories will live forever with us. Be grateful to everyone in life and make Gratitude a daily habit of practice. Use the word “Thank you” often. “Thank You” word has miraculous power in it and it can make wonders.

Many at times we complain about small things. For example, we have a job but not a good one, have a house, not a big one, have a partner but not so supportive, have money but not enough to fulfill all our needs. God has provided us with all the necessities, but we long for luxuries. We forget about the necessary things which we received when we needed them the most. We waste time in complaining about silly things and we lose big things what we have. The behavior of Gratitude will miraculously change what we lack and give us what we wanted and even more.

Do we realize, when we wake up in the morning that it’s God who gave us another brand new day to give us one more chance to experience the beauty of his creations, one more chance to spend with our loved ones, one more chance to thank him. We need to acknowledge that God is the one who does it for us. For all that, we show our Gratitude to him so that we receive his blessings abundantly in our daily life.

So we stop being negative in our personal lives, and accept God’s will and offer everything and thank him so that he will change our lives from sadness to gladness. Through gratitude, we can improve our own destiny and receive all our needs in Abundance!!!
