Major Fire Breaks Out at Moha Packaging India Ltd at Ganjimatt

Mangaluru: A major fire broke out at a production factory, Moha Packaging India Limited in Ganjimatt during the early hours of May 9.

The incident came to light at around 2:30 am. The factory was exporting its products to foreign countries. The factory belongs to Mohammed Haneef from Bajpe.

According to the police on May 9 at around 2:40 am they saw the fire in the factory and informed the owner immediately. The police also informed the fire service which rushed to the spot and doused the fire. It is suspected that the fire broke out due to electrical short-circuit.

The factory is involved in the manufacture of plastic producing Industry packaging items and plastic products which were supposed to be exported to Dubai in two days. The total loss is estimated to be over Rs 10 crore.
