The gas laden tanker lost control, jumped a trench, crashed into the barricades and a pile of mud, coming to a halt on the side of the road near Pumpwell circle.
A person, who was sticking posters on the barricades, was injured. He has been admitted to the  hospital. The front portion of the tanker was damaged, but luckily, there was no leakage of gas.
The fire brigade reached the spot. Traffic police and the firemen are trying to move the tanker to a safer place to facilitate smooth flow of traffic in the area.
