Man Arrested for Spreading Communal Hatred through Social Media
Mangaluru: The Ullal police have arrested a man for spreading communal hatred through social media on September 1.
The arrested has been identified as Zakir from Ullal.
According to the police, on September 1, the Ullal police got the information that Zakir Ullal was spreading messages of communal hatred through WhatsApp. Based on the information the Ullal police took Zakir into their custody and examined his mobile phone and found incriminating evidence of messages being forwarded through WhatsApp.
The Ullal police registered a case against Zakir and arrested him.
Police Commissioner Dr Harsha said, “We have Zero Tolerance for anyone spreading communal hatred on social media.”
