Man arrested while transporting Unaccounted Rs 37 lakh 2000 and 100 Denomination Notes

Honnavar: A person from Shivamogga was arrested while transporting unaccounted, Rs 37.78 lakh of Rs 2000 and 100 denomination notes at Honnavar on December 7.

The arrested has been identified as Abdul resident of Thirthalli, Shivamogga district.

According to the police, on December 7, the accused was transporting Rs 37.78 lakh of Rs 2000 and 100 denomination currency notes in a car from Sagar to Honnavar without any documents.

The Honnavar Police intercepted the car and found currency notes of Rs 2,000 and 100 denomination totalling to Rs 37.78 lakh in a bag.
Honnavar Police have registered the case in this regard.
