Man Arrested Under POCSO Act for Molesting Minor
Bantwal: Punjalkatte police have arrested a man under the POCSO Act for Molesting a minor boy at Nainadu here on March 3.
The arrested has been identified as Ramanand Shenoy from Nainadu, Pilatabettu.
According to the police, on March 2 at 3:00 pm, a minor boy had gone to Ramanand’s shop to repair his bicycle. Ramanand asked the boy whether he had lunch. He said that he was going home for lunch and took the boy along with him.
Ramanand who was alone at home made the boy sleep on the floor and tried to molest him. The boy after kicking Ramanand in the stomach in self defense escaped from the place. While the boy was fleeing on his bicycle Ramanand followed him and threatened him with life if he revealed anything about the incident.
In this connection, a case was filed in the Punjalkatte police station under the POCSO Act. Ramanand was arrested and will be produced before the court on March 4.
