Man Commits Suicide by Jumping from Bridge into Manipura River
Udupi: A man jumped off the Manipura bridge into the river near Moodubelle, Katapadi here on July 2.
The deceased has been identified as Prakash Pai, a resident of Udupi.
According to the sources, on June 2 evening, Prakash Pai had come by his own car and parked the car near the bridge. Later he climbed the bridge and jumped into the river.
A passerby saw a man jumping from the bridge and informed the police. A rescue team and the police reached the spot. The police and rescue team are searching for Prakash but they were unable to trace the body.
The police have recovered a suicide note in which it is mentioned that he was fed up with sickness and was committing suicide.
Kaup police have registered a case and search is on to find the body.
