Man from Davanagere Commits Suicide in City
Mangaluru: A 40-year-old man committed suicide by self-infliction with a utility knife, at Hotel Vedanta, opposite City Centre here, on May 22.
The deceased has been identified as Shambu (40), a native of Davanagere.
According to hotel Vedanta’s staff, Shambu booked a hotel room number 201 on May 20. On May 22, when the room service went to clean the room, they found Shambu in a pool of blood.
They immediately informed the Bunder police. Inspector Shantharam and his team reached the spot for further investigation. The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
The body has been sent for post-mortem. A forensics team and fingerprint experts also reached the spot. A case has been registered in the Bunder police station.
