Man killed in accident 8 days before his Marriage in Kota
Kundapur: In a tragic incident, a 30-year-old groom was killed eight days before his marriage, when a truck rammed into his motorcycle he was riding on NH 66 near Kota here, on December 22.
The deceased has been identified as Varun (30), a resident of Koteshwar near Kundapur.
According to the police, on December 22, Varun was on his way to the Saligrama Temple on his bike, when he reached near Kota, a speeding truck hit his two-wheeler from behind. Varun, who sustained critical head injuries died on the spot. The negligence of the truck driver caused the accident. The Kota police have taken the truck driver into their custody.
Varun was working in the Gulf and had recently come on vacation, his marriage was fixed on December 30.
The Kota police have shifted the body to the government hospital morgue for post-mortem.
A case has been registered in the Kota Police Station.
