Man Pressures Mother with Hanging Drama, Loses Life
Kasaragod: Sandeep Kumar (50), a resident of Thimiri in Chervattur, in a reported attempt to pressure his mother with his demands, paid dearly with his life.
His wife and children had gone to Thalasserry to visit their relatives. When the mother, a senior citizen, and son were at home, Sandeep is said to have threatened to hang himself if his demands were not met.
He not only said so verbally but also made a mock attempt to end his life by tying a rope to the ceiling fan and climbed on top of a stool.
Unfortunately, the stool, which anyone would have kicked in the process of suicide, in fact fell off. Losing support, Sandeep ended up hanging from the rope and got strangled.
