Mangalore East Police Host Baby Shower for Colleague
Mangaluru: Nowadays we hear many unique initiatives from the police department. Earlier people were hesitant to go to the police station or help the police whenever there was any crime or an accident. But now the police department has brought many people-friendly initiatives. Recently to strengthen the police beat system, Police Commissioner Dr Harsha introduced “My Beat My Pride” which is being appreciated by the general public.
Police Inspector from Mangaluru East Police Station Shantharam Kundar along with the staff gathered at St Sebastian Platinum Jubilee Hall for the celebrations.
The Baby shower is traditionally held to announce the arrival of the new member to the family. The baby shower is specially held by the family members to make the pregnant woman feel special. The mum-to-be wears special Saree which is gifted by her mother, but here the Mangaluru East police gifted their colleague mum-to-be a saree and dressed her according to the Hindu culture. Later she was served with a variety of food. Gauravva who was accompanied by her husband Shivanand during the baby shower was specially honoured by her colleagues.
The kind gesture from the staff of Mangaluru East police station has been appreciated by many.
