Mangalorean Catholic Association EC Inc. holds USA Christmas Gala, 2017
Christmas time is the best time of the year…the waiting, the hope, the joy and the blessings! Who does not love the most wonderful time of the year! There is magic all around… the music, the prayers, the home-bound family members, the holidays…and most of all, coming together to celebrate the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. The true reason to celebrate indeed.
The Mangalorean Catholic Association of the East Coast shared the same message with all their members at the fun-family Christmas Gala on December 16, 2017. The event was held at Hotel Ember, New Jersey and attended by over 400 people from in and around New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and beyond.
The event began at 6 pm with registration/ check-in and a holiday-themed photo booth set up for the guests to capture their memory of the event. As the guests settled in, the vibrant Emcees for the event ensured that the evening flowed with high-energy entertainment and lots of fun for all our guests. Lots of good food, music and dancing that kept everyone going all the way into midnight.
Some of the additional highlights of the evening was the Christmas Choir ‘Gathered as One’ that comprised of members from the 9 different vados (chapters) of the MCA-EC family. The raffle draw that picked the winners of the 2 Jet blue tickets and 2 raffle baskets, Dance band –Prism that had the best foot-tapping music for the evening and the huge spread of appetizers, entré and desserts that reminded all of their holiday dinners with their families back home.
The MCA-EC executive board wishes all its families, friends and everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2018.
A special shout-out to all the volunteers who helped set up the venue, manage the registration desks, pack the kuswar boxes, rally for sponsors, help with choir practices… and everyone else who gave us their generous gift of time and support to make this event a huge success.
