Mangalore’s ‘Nostalgia’ makes it to Top-12 of Dance Plus3 reality show
Mangalore’s ‘Nostalgia’ dance trio of Gavin Rodrigues, Nicky Pinto and Leonel Sequeira have made Mangalore proud by making it to the Top-12 of the Dance Plus3 reality show being aired on Star Plus television channel. The show is being shown on Star Plus television channel on every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm and 10 pm respectively.
The trio who went through several auditions in Bangalore and Mumbai were fortunate to gain a slot in the television round wherein 50 contestants had to undergo auditions in front of super judge Remo D’Souza. They danced to the rhythmic beats of ‘Naino se naino mila’, the performance was praised by all the mentors and even Dharmesh danced along with them on the stage.
In the second auditions which were telecasted on July 15 and 16, 34 contestants fought their way to make it to the final 12. The nostalgia team danced to the song ‘Dhai Shyam Rok le’ which brought them accolades from mentor Puneet, who told that their dance is truly ‘Ek Level Up’.
Those who made it to the top 12 are: The Tutex Crew, Amardeep, Tarun and Shivani, Aryan (Dharmesh team); Nostalgia, Jeet Das, Shree Rama Nataka Niketan and Chow En Lai Phuken (Shakti team); Ayush and Mukesh, Bir, AVP crew and House of Suraj (Puneet team).
All the 12 teams are going to perform for the next 6 weeks, wherein 6 of them will be chosen to the Top 6. From then on, elimination will be based on public voting.
All the 12 contestants are going to perform alongside world renowned artistes like World Hip-Hop champion Fik-Shun, latin dancers Paul and Brittany and Kathak Maestro Pandit Birju Maharaj. They will even get a chance to dance along with Shah Rukh Khan who will visit the show to promote his movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’.
The ‘Nostalgia’ team is one of the two teams from South India who are in the Top 12 now. The other team is Sri Ram Nataka Niketan from Hyderabad.
