Mangalureans Taking care of me like their own daughter – Ramya
Mangaluru: Kadri Cricketers organized a Musical nite at the Kadri grounds here on August 25.
The programme began with an invocation dance.
Former MP, Kollywood actress and chief guest of the programme Ramya Speaking in Tulu said, “Namaskara Kudla Encha Ullar? I wish you all a very happy Janmashtami. I am wearing Mangaluru Jasmine, I was thinking of coming to Mangaluru from many days and today I got the opportunity to come here, this is a blessing from Sri Krishna. When I landed in Mangaluru, seeing the weather here, I felt I am in heaven. The people of Mangaluru are taking care of me like their own daughter. I will remain ever grateful. The culture and tradition Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam mean the entire world is one and we all are one.
I was interested in taking part in the Mosaru Kudike but the organizers did not allow me. Anyway, I will take part some other time.
Chief Whip Ivan D’Souza said, “Ramya spoke in Tulu, we all are good. hats off to you, and you are the true citizen of this country. We all should join hands to build a strong nation. If the nation will be strong we will live happily. The entire world should be united, we should all love our country.” Ivan congratulated the organizers for the beautiful programme.
President of Youth Congress Mithun Rai speaking on the occasion, said that Ramya is here to take part in the Sri Krishna Janmashtami. We all should welcome her because she is very clean in mind and has not kept any bad feelings in her mind. But there are some people here who want to spoil the programme, do not trouble the people who are here with their family members including little children. To trouble, our guests is not the culture of Tulunadu. From the past three years, Kadri Cricketers have distributed rice for 750 families.
Later when Ramya came to the stage, some miscreants threw eggs at her and some of the youths shouted slogans against Ramya. The police detained two youth who were shouting slogans.
Minister B Ramanath Rai, Sashidhar Hegde, and others were also present.
