Mangalureans Welcome New Year 2020 with Revelry
Mangaluru: The City welcomed New Year 2020 on Wednesday with revelry by attending the new year bash at Hotels and wished each other at midnight.
The Hotel Ocean Pearl organized the New Year Eve celebrations at the TMA Pai Convention Hall with the theme “Bollywood Tadka with International Dhamaka”. Ocean Pearl is considered as a well-known destination for elite customers in terms of food, ambiance, service & hospitality.
Singer Pomal Shah and Dilesh set the stage on fire with their melodious voice and super energetic and dynamic performances. Dileish has performed with celebrity singers like Sonu Nigam, Mika Singh, Sukriti and Prakriti Kakkar, Ayushmaam Khurana, Abhijeet Sawant and has more than 20 years of experience in the music industry.
Singer Pomal has more than 2 decades of experience in the Music Industry, She is a super energetic and dynamic performer. She has been given the “Swar Ki Naaru” title by Music Director Padmashri Kalyanji Anandji. She has performed in the USA, UAE, Muscat and Paris.
The seasoned dance troop ‘Hejjenaada Dance Team, “winner of Zee Kannada Kuniyona Bara; Mahaguru Super Shishya; the fame of Zee TV dance India dance Lil Master, mesmerized the audience with their foot-tapping dance performances.
DJ Fermeen entertained the young hearts and made them rock and break the dance floor.
The Ocean Pearl served mouth-watering and delicious veg and non-veg starters along with the sumptuous spread of buffet with a variety of desserts and fruits.
At the same time, police kept a strict vigil on the violators with a temporary check post at Balmatta. DCP Law and order personally monitored the situation. ACPs also personally visited Balmatta and greeted the police personnel on duty.
Comparing to the new year celebrations last year, this year the celebration was dull. Many people did not show up for the new year bash due to the recent incidents in Mangaluru. At 11:59 pm all the lights were off to welcome the New year. When the clock ticked 00.00 the lights were switched on, people who had gathered in various hotels and pubs greeted each other.
