Mangaluru: A 25-year-old youth was killed and four others injured in a road accident, when a tipper Lorry collided head on into the I20 car he was traveling here on February 24.
The deceased has been identified as Shafiq (25), a resident of Farangipet and the injured have been identified as Sameer, Noufal, Irfan and Ashfan.
According to sources, all the five were on their way to Madikeri from Mangaluru. When their car reached Madikeri, a tipper collided head on into the car they were travelling. All the five were severely injured, Shafiq is said to have died on the spot. All the injured have been shifted to the hospital in Mangaluru.
A case has been registered in the Madikeri police station.
