Mangaluru: A 55-year-old woman died in a road mishap near Town hall here on May 2.
The deceased has been identified as Prema (55), wife of Krishna Gatti, a resident of Vamanjoor.
According to the police, On May 2, Krishna was riding his Honda Activa towards Central Market. While Krishna was taking a turn towards the market, a city bus route number 13, plying from Statebank hit the Honda Activa. Both Krishna and Prema were thrown to the road and the bus ran over Prema, she died on the spot. Krishna escaped with minor injuries. Prema was an active member of Gram Panchayat. She is survived by husband Krishna, two sons and a daughter. Her elder son is working in the Bajpe police station.
A case has been registered in Pandeshwar police station.
