People should practice hygienic habits. Usage of toilets as opposed to road side and river side defecation is the first step. Spitting has to be punished when done in public places. People have the habit of spitting paan. It may take many years for some improvement in these areas. Eventually it will happen. Women have more sense and decency. They should refuse to marry uncouth characters who have no regard for decency.

” Usage of toilets as opposed to road side and river side defecation ”

Just remembered an incident as told;a person being bitten by a snake on the maxima glutei at riverside; thus to help reduce riverside defecation!. Just as, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder; it’s up to you imagine the bite!

Public toilets should be made pay and use. ( Re 1 entry fee).
Otherwise maintenance of these toilets becomes a big problems.
In most of the public toilets water supply is a major problem.
Flush never works.
Building toilets may be a easy job. Who will maintain and look after it. ?
Bus stand and railway station toilets are dirtiest places on the earth.

People should take the responsibility to maintain it clean to make Swatch Bharat Andolan a successful project.

While our Father of nation Mahatama Gandhi is used to clean his own toilets, I haven’t seen not a single BJP volunteer among 10 crores cleaning ‘Public toilet ‘ for the same cause. The same Indian diaspora in other nation respect every law of the country but spits on the streets and urinate on the walls. The question is how long one will spend time… Read more »
