Mangaluru: As the depression over Karnataka coast further intensified into a cyclonic storm “Ashobaa”, the weather department in Karnataka issued a warning to fishermen along the Karnataka coast, which is expected to receive heavy rainfall in the next 48 hours.
The Director of the Meteorological Centre issued a warning for coastal areas and advised fishermen not to venture into the sea during the next 48 hours. Wind speeds are expected to reach 70 to 80 kmph, and may exceedh 90 kmph.
According to the meteorological centre, the temperature will be expected to come down to below 10 degrees in most parts of the country. The sea condition will be rough along the Karnataka Coast. Fishermen out on open sea are also advised to return to the coast.
